About

Bridles and Bibles is a non-profit organization that offers free riding clinics that compare the art of horsemanship to a relationship with Christ. Founded in 2022 by Jessica Merrifield and her husband Brady Merrifield, the mission was born out of Jessica’s desire to share her understanding of Jesus through the lens of horsemanship.

We offer a variety of programs, including a youth mentorship program, a women’s ranch show team, monthly gatherings, and a podcast. Through hands-on experience and biblical teaching, participants grow in both their horsemanship and their “Godmanship”—their relationship with God. Bridles and Bibles creates a safe, non-judgmental space for everyone from beginner riders to advanced trainers.

Bridles and Bibles is about inviting people into a relationship with the Lord through the incredible animals we have the honor of working with. Horses have a beautiful way of offering us a glimpse into God’s heart—they give us a chance to step into His perspective, to experience what it means to guide, connect, and build trust.

Our goal is to lay a foundation for understanding both horsemanship and relationship with God—for anyone who wants to listen and learn. We know how expensive and intimidating the horse world can be, so we offer our programs free of charge to make this journey accessible to as many people as possible.

Horses change lives—and God transforms hearts. Join us in the work of doing both.
